Recently, I found a book artist on Twitter who was offering to draw some character sketches for authors. I provided a brief description of Paige on Twitter. Here’s what I wrote:
Paige Parker is a h.s. senior who lives in the shadow of her best friend, Susannah. When Susannah mysteriously disappears, Paige’s life is consumed with the task of finding her. She’s a loyal friend, loves take-out, feels awkward around boys, and she’s fiercely determined.
I was so surprised and grateful that Ann had drawn Paige Parker. She added some of her own details. I love the idea of the dandelion.

I added the dandelion on this artwork knowing about her missing bestfriend. I used blue for the sketch wanting to highlight the melancholy more. I know I have to work more in expression but I enjoyed creating this one🩵
