Leslie Kim Book Five
When I finished Dragon Bounty a few months ago, I thought I was going to walk away from the Leslie Kim Series for a little while. Buuut then I got hit with a great idea for a plot outline for a new book and started picking away at it. Now, I’ve been writing that book for a few months and it’s turning out to be the longest in the series so far. So, my first project will be finishing the fifth book in the series and probably the first full-length novel.
Series 1 Collection Paperback
I also have big plans for those first four books in the serials and that is to create a compilation of them! I am working with my editor to make up a paperback version of all those books together. That means it needs a new cover, new back matter, and I am considering publishing it wide.
Vixen Parallels
If you’ve been reading my blog since 2016, I want you to know that I have not forgotten about my YA Fantasy novel. I have gone over the plot multiple times, I have rewritten the book multiple times, and I’m ready to tackle writing yet another draft of it. There is a lot of work to do here but I really want to finish this book and get it out there in the world. I really love this story and honestly just want to see it on my own bookshelf, if nothing else!
My Other Projects (Hopefully)
In 2021, I am looking into the face of the unknown. I started a new job last year, I was able to publish a couple more books, and I’d love to be able to publish all three of the projects above in the coming year.
If everything went well, I would also have time to work on another series that I have set aside for years: The Hidden Harper Trilogy. There are three books in this trilogy and I think they need some rewrites and possibly adding to the original manuscripts to make them significantly longer. This is probably my all-time favorite series, but I haven’t prioritized it because it’s been a difficult one to work on. It might be too intensive a project to complete with everything else in 2021, so it’s on the bottom of the priority list for now.
As much as I would love to believe that I can do it all right now, good things take time. So, I am going to try to be a little more patient with myself and these projects!
