Blood, Teeth & Bones by M.E. Vaughan [Book Boost!]

I’m so excited to share a novella by my friend, M.E. Vaughan. She is the author of The Sons of Thestian and Blood of Delphi, part of the Harmatia Cycle series. The book I’m sharing today is called Blood, Teeth, & Bones and it is a novella in the Harmatia Cycle series. I first met M. E. Vaughan when she designed a book cover for (once upon a time!) and I had her on the blog for an author interview back in 2018. I hope that you will enjoy learning a bit more about her books and support her as an Indie author!

“Don’t you ever get tired of fighting Arlen Zachary’s battles?”

When Zachary falls deathly ill with sleep-fever, Marcel is faced with the uncomfortable truth that there are some things he cannot protect Zachary from. With his loyalty questioned, and with silent enemies circling, memories begin to resurface as Marcel looks back on where it all began and just why he is willing to die for his Captain.Set during, and before the events of Blood of the Delphi (Book #2 of The Harmatia Cycle).

Book Description from Amazon

Praise for the Harmatia Cycle

“Epic Fantasy with a difference”

– J.A. Ironside

This was such a fantastic look at the back story behind the friendship of the ‘brothers Magi’…. If Vaughan decides to write a Harmatia Cycle prequel then I’m putting in my bid for more of that now. (HINT HINT…)

I think you could read this as a standalone but you’ll get more out of it if you read The Sons of Thestian and Blood of the Delphi first (it does contain minor spoilers). Still a great way to help bridge the desolate wastes until books 3 and 4 are released. Highly recommend.

“Multifaceted, accomplished and brilliant’

– J.A. Ironside

A brilliant little story that gives us another character’s perspective. Marcel’s a quiet character in the rest of the series, so it was great to get into his head and see what he’s really thinking! This obviously isn’t a full sequel (it does say novella!) but it’s a good way to tide yourself over if, like me, you’re waiting desperately for the third book to come out. 😀

Word of warning: definitely read Sons of Thestian and Blood of the Delphi before this one! You wouldn’t want to be spoiled ahead of time!
