Silver Pages Book Box [Review]

by | Apr 24, 2024 | Book Blog | 0 comments

Today I am reviewing another book subscription box! Eek! I was super excited about this box since it comes with all types of surprise goodies. The Silver Pages Book Box is described as:

Silver Pages Book Box!
Our subscription box is all about making sure the life of our books are extended on to a new reader. Our goal is to save great books from retirement on a bookshelf by passing them on to the next reader. We have a variety of book box genres to choose from, including kid favorites, mystery, romance, historical fiction, non-fiction, and more.
New box each month
Kid Friendly Options
9 genres to choose from
Monthly book
Great quality items

For the genre, I selected the “Surprise Me!” option and I ended up getting romance! As a bonus, the entire box is filled with super cute pink goodies. This is great for me since I happen to have pink everything on and around my desk, including my office chair. The box itself was black, so this added a nice contrast and the whole thing is just super cute. This subscription box is less than $10 a box (not including shipping, which will vary) and I think it would make a lovely gift for your friends, your family, or yourself!

I should also mention that this is not an ad and I did buy this with my own money.

In this box, I received:

  • A used copy of Royal Kiss & Tell by Julia London (in great condition)
  • Handmade pink headband (so cuteee!)
  • 3 on-theme stickers
  • 1 heart-shaped purple stone
  • 1 bag of Jasmine green tea from Stash
  • A cute pink bookmark
  • 1 Rose Water Face Mask from Celavi
  • A pink, catch-all tray (maybe handy for sitting a candle on or a used tea bag?)
  • A 3-oz Pink Amber Poppy candle
  • A gorgeous decorative tea spoon, engraved with leaves and flowers, with a gem on the end
  • A cute button that reads “Sorry, I can’t. I have to read my book”

All told, this feels like a robust little box with lots of cute little items that I really enjoyed. The box also smelled amazing when I opened it because of the candle and the tea, which was lovely.

It is interesting to me that they sent this particular novel, which is the second book in a three-book series. A fact that I discovered after looking it up. So, I guess I will have to hunt down the first one if I want to read through it! After looking into it, the first book can be found used for as little as $2 or I can order the mass market paperback for $7, so at least it isn’t a steep investment if I do want to grab the first in the series. But I imagine the risk of getting a book that is in the middle of a series might be off-putting for some folks!
