My TBR for 2024

Every year, I tend to have really big ideas about which books I’m going to read and this year is no different. In 2023, I read 11 books total and I plan to read at least that many this year (but hoping for more!)

I often have months where I will read a lot and then go a few months without reading anything. Audiobooks have really helped me to fill in the gaps when I want to get into a story but I feel like I don’t have time to sit down and read (listening is often easier because I can multitask.)

Without further ado, here are the books I plan to read this year:

Currently Reading: Moonshadow Guardian by Dianna Gunn

Currently Listening: Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica

  • The Guest List by Lucy Foley
  • Bloodflower by K.J. Harrows
  • Before We Were Innocent by Ella Berman
  • The Truth About Melody Browne by Lisa Jewell
  • After the Syzygy by J.D. Sanderson (Sent by the Author)
  • Scarlet Carnation by Laila Ibrahim (Sent by the Author)
  • Third Eye by Felicia Day (Audiobook)
  • The Kitchen God’s Wife by Amy Tan (Audiobook)
  • The Gap Between Us by Norelle Smith (Sent by the Author)
  • American Girl by Wendy Walker (Audiobook)
  • Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury (Re-Read)
  • The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (Re-Read)
  • The Ship of Brides by Jojo Moyes
  • Whitethorn Woods by Maeve Binchy

This list is not in any particular order, I will probably just grab whatever book suits me best when I’m done with the ones I’m currently reading.

Please Note: If you are an Indie author who is hoping to find someone to read your book, you can reach out to me via my contact page or email (elizastopps@gmail.com) and I will add it to my list. I can’t promise exactly when I will get to it, but I do try to be timely. Right now, I generally enjoy mystery novels, crime thrillers, some young adult, and occasionally science fiction/fantasy. I rarely read horror.

I also do have children and will read and review children’s books and include them in my kid’s book lists. These are generally very easy for me to read and review quickly just because they are so short.

What are you reading this year? Share your TBR lists in the comments!
